Giving Tuesday is a day dedicated to giving back

Photography is more than art; it is a creative outlet, it is a voice and it is a source of income for a group of women from a Cape Town township.

The heART of a Woman Project is a small grassroots initiative that works with non-profit organizations to provide education in mobile photography to women impacted by poverty. It aims to empower women to have a voice, creative outlet, and sustainable income through the sales of photographic art products.

With your generosity, we will be able to provide support to Project South Africa (thoawSA) as they work their way to self-sustainability.

Donations: Every bit helps and will help keep the program operational and provide funds for internet, transportation, reprinting, education, marketing, tourism development and a stipend for the local coordinator.

Shop thoawSA – Every purchase matters and aids the ladies on their path to a sustainable income. A portion goes directly to the mobile photographer in Khayelitsha, South Africa, the remainder is reinvested into the development project.

If you believe in empowering women and youth impacted by poverty and believe in the importance of transferring skills and thehand up, not hand outapproach, there are several ways YOU can help.
